About Blog Filters
Blog Filters is my first mash-up. I tried to be creative and try something new and unique. The concept I settled on was trying to use Blogger as a key element in my mash-up. While Blogger is good I wanted to minimize search engine optimization responsibilities and templating up-keep so I combined in Odin Assemble. Blogger + Odin Assemble = Framework.
After signing up with the Yahoo Developer program I was able to roll my own custom feed search system. The idea is based largely at what I found at Feed Findings. The Yahoo program also gave me some useful contextual keyword suggestions as well :). Yahoo = Feed Search.
To find the feeds I would search I used Nuah: Blog Search, FeedMeme: AJAX Feed Discovery, Feedster and The Feed Directory. Nuah + Feedmeme + Feedster + Feed Directory = Data Sources.
Add a bit of PHP love and you can have your very own Blog Filters in a matter of minutes. :)
